Featuring New Orleans, Memphis & Nashville

Day 1

  • Fly from Fargo, ND to the “Jazz Capital of theWorld” - New Orleans, Louisiana
  • Stay at Sheraton New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana
Day 2
  • French Quarter Walking Tour OR Motorcoach Tour of New OrleansWalking tour takes you to the majestic St. Louis Cathedral and to the bustling French Market place where you’ll explore Pirates Alley, the Cabildo, the Presbytere and the Pontalba. Stop to taste a true New Orleans favorite – beignets at Café Du Monde.
  • Motorcoach tour begins along historic Esplanade Avenue. See St Louis Cemetery #3, relax during a drive along the shoreline of Lake Pontchartrain which leads to St. Charles Avenue which wisks you past gorgeous mansion as well as Tulane and Loyola, two world-famous universities.
  • Tonight, discover how to cook New Orleans-style during a unique cooking demonstration at the New Orleans School of Cooking
  • Stay at Sheraton New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana
Day 3
  • Enjoy a Louisiana’s swamp cruise while learning about the history and ecology of this fascinating ecosystem - keep an eye out for wildlife including bald eagles, herons, turtles and alligators! You’ll also see houses, accessible only by boat, of the local Cajuns who have made their homes here in the bayous. (In cases of severe inclement weather, a panoramic New Orleans city tour by motorcoach will be substituted.
  • Return to New Orleans and spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure to discover this great city your way.
  • Stay at Sheraton New Orleans, New Orleans, Louisiana
Day 4
  • Travel north to Memphis
  • Enjoy the Central BBQ which has been ranked the #1 BBQ in Memphis since 2005
  • Stay at Sheraton Memphis Convention Center, Memphis,Tennessee
Day 5
  • One-of-a-kind tour of Memphis – local musicians board the coach and tell the story of Memphis’ musical heritage and history as you view the city’s many highlights
  • Visit Graceland – Elvis’ 14-acre estate and visit his home, original business office, trophy building and Meditation Garden.
  • Remainder of the day is free to enjoy the city’s vast musical offerings on your own.
  • Stay at Sheraton Memphis Convention Center, Memphis,Tennessee
Day 6
  • Journey to the “Music Capital of the World” –Nashville
  • Sightseeing tour will share the history and lore of Music City as you view the State Capitol, Music Row and the Parthenon.
  • Show at the Grand Ole Opry and a behind-the-scenes look with a backstage tour 
  • Stay at Gaylord Opryland Resort, Nashville, Tennessee
Day 7
  • Tour the historic RCA Studio B where Elivis Presley, Dolly Parton and Charlie Pride once recorded some of their classic hits.
  • Visit the old Ryman Auditorium (on some dates, may be closed for special events)
  • Explore the Country Music Hall of Fame, the largest museum of popular music in the world.
  • Stay at Gaylord Opryland Resort, Nashville, Tennessee
Day 8
  • Return home with a wealth of memories that will have you humming a new tune.

Past Tours:
In October 2015, the First National Bank Travel Club spent 10 days on the Heritage of America Tour. In New York City they experienced the highlights of Times Square, Grand Central Station, Central Park, Rockefeller Plaza, St. Patrick's Cathedral, 9/11 Memorial, Statue of Liberty, Ellen's Stardust Diner and many other landmarks and sites
In Philadelphia they toured Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, the Meeting House, Betsy Ross' house, US Mint and the Federal Reserve.
In Lancaster County, PA, they found themselves at a local cooking demonstration and testing, the Wheatland home of our 15th President James Buchanan and took an Amish Country Tour, including a buggy ride, a home and farm visit.
Visiting Blue Ridge, VA, the group experienced the Shenandoah Valley National Park, local cloggers, the Gettysburg Battlefield and the Monticello home of our second President, Thomas Jefferson.
They proceeded to Colonial Williamsburg, PA to view trades, construction, military, political life, food, business, justice; life as in the 1700s. They continued on to Mount Vernon, VA, home of our first President, George Washington.
Washington DC found the group visiting the Capitol, White House and monuments and memorials including: Washington, Lincoln, Jefferson, World War I & II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Martin Luther King, Arlington Cemetery and Changing of the Guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Smithsonian, Kennedy Center, Historic Alexandria and the Twilight Monument Tour.
This was a very moving and Patriotic tour that made each of the group proud to be Americans!
 
       
   

In September 2014, the First National Bank Travel Club traveled to the Canadian Rockies. They flew into Calgary, Alberta and made their way west, enjoying an Alberta ranch, the wonderful town of Banff set in the Rockies, Yoho National Park, the Columbia Icefields and Jasper. They then boarded VIA Rail's The Canadian for a unique and wonderful journey through the majestic Canadian Rockies. They then enjoyed the sites of Vancouver, British Columbia before returning home.

 
 
 
In October 2013 the First National Bank Travel Club traveled to Ireland, the Emerald Isle, a land renowned for its “forty shades of green.” They had rollicking fun experiencing the rolling hills, warm people and stately castles. They visited Dublin, Waterford, Killarney and Limerick and explored Ireland’s natural beauty, rich history, and most importantly its hospitable culture.
