Privacy NOTICE OF YOUR FINANCIAL PRIVACY RIGHTS
We, our, and us, when
used in this notice, mean First National Bank.
This is our privacy notice for our customers. When we use the words
"you" and "your" we mean the following types
of customers:
- Our consumer customers who have a continuing relationship by
purchasing or holding financial products or services such as a(n):
- Deposit account
- Loan account
- Credit card account
- Safe deposit box
- Retail installment contract we hold and service
- Individual Retirement Account where we act as custodian or
trustee
- All of our North Dakota commercial and agricultural accounts
We will tell you the sources of the information we collect about
you. We will tell you what measures we take to secure that information.
We first define some terms.
Nonpublic personal information means information
about you that we collect in connection with providing a financial
product or service to you. Nonpublic personal information does not
include information that is available from public sources, such
as telephone directories or government records. Hereafter, we will
use the term "information" to mean nonpublic personal
information as defined in this section.
An affiliate is a company we own or control,
a company that owns or controls us, or a company that is owned or
controlled by the same company that owns or controls us. Ownership
does not mean complete ownership, but means owning enough to have
control.
A nonaffiliated third party is a person we do not
employ or a company that is not an affiliate of ours. This is
also known as nonaffiliated third party, or simply, an "other
party."
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect information about you from the following sources:

- Information about your transactions with our affiliates
- Information about your transactions with other parties
- Information from a consumer reporting agency
- Information we receive through our Customer Identification Program

We do NOT disclose any information about you to anyone, except
as permitted by law. Examples of this might include disclosures
necessary to service your account or prevent unauthorized transactions.
THE CONFIDENTIALITY, SECURITY, AND INTEGRITY OF YOUR INFORMATION
We restrict access to information about you to those employees
who need to know that information to provide products or services
to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards
to protect this information.
INFORMATION ABOUT FORMER CUSTOMERS
We do not disclose information about former customers, except as
permitted by law.
UNITED STATES PATRIOT ACT
When our country was attacked on September 11, 2001
our lives were forever changed. In an effort to protect you and
our country, the USA PATRIOT Act was signed into law.
To help our government prevent the funding of terrorism, money laundering
activities and various forms of fraud such as identity theft, the
Patriot Act requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify
and record information that identifies each person who opens a new
account or requests a loan.
What does this mean to you?
- When you open an account, we will ask you for
your name, address, date of birth, taxpayer identification number
and other information that will allow us to identify you.
- We may also ask to see you drivers license or other identifying
documents.
In some cases, identifications may be requested from
existing customers of First National Bank if the original documentation
was not obtained when the account was opened. Protection of our
customers identity and confidentiality is our banks pledge to you.
We proudly support all efforts to protect and maintain the security
of our customers and our country. We appreciate your cooperation

Internet Privacy
Browsing our Site
When you visit our website to view any pages, read
product information, or use our online calculators and tools,
you do so without telling us who you are and without revealing
any personal information. While we do not collect identifying
information about visitors to our site, we do use standard software
to collect information for the strict purpose of tracking activity
on our site. This allows us to better understand how many people
use our site and which pages and features are most popular. To
evaluate the usefulness of our site, we may gather and analyze
data regarding usage such as:
• The name of your Internet Service Provider,
• The website that referred you to us (if any),

address in this manner, we wont use it to let you know about our

Regular non-encrypted Internet e-mail is not secure. In the instances
where our Internet e-mail addresses are provided, these are provided
for information inquiries of a non-sensitive and non-confidential
nature. E-mail you send us may not be secure unless we advise
you that it is secure prior to transmitting your message. Therefore,
we recommend that you not send us confidential information such
as social security or account numbers via unsecured email. You
may also contact us by phone, U.S. mail or by visiting your nearest
banking center.
On-Line Banking Security
When you bank online with us, we, along with the outside companies
we work with to bring these services to you, have access to your
information. Information is retained on our system or the system
of the appropriate outside company, depending on what is required
in order to serve you.
We use state-of-the-art Internet technology, supported by the
outside companies we work with, to make online banking secure
and to protect your personal information. We also require an I.D.
and password or PIN to access your accounts. If you do not provide
this information, we cannot establish an online banking service
for you.
You can also help safeguard your personal information by taking
a few simple precautions. Protect your account, PIN, and customer
access numbers. Do not share your I.D. or password with anyone,
change your password regularly, and remember to sign off. Never
disclose confidential information to unknown callers. When banking
on the Internet, be sure to use a secure browser and current virus
detection software, and never open e-mail from unknown sources.
Protecting your privacy online
Whenever we ask for personal information on our web site, we use
Secure Socket Layer (SSL technology) for transferring data. This
technology encrypts - or scrambles - your account information
so its virtually impossible to read by anyone other than employees
at our Bank.
Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology secretly encodes information
that is being sent over the Internet between your computer and
our Bank, helping to ensure that the information remains confidential.
